Old Town Kanonia Rooms & Apartments

Big windows, fully equipped bathroom, my travel companions had a good time there. The living room with two beds in it seemed comfortable, spacious and well ventilated. The people who were sleeping in them were short, so bed size (length) was not an issue. Great for an adventure or for a few nights, and quite romantic if you don't mind some 'retro charm' and relatively easy to access. The location is also fine, if you don't specifically want to stay inside the castle area.

The service rents out a number of apartments, advertised as in 500 my radius of the reception office located in the old town. The one we were assigned is not actually in the old town, it is outside of it. The host claims that this was specifically advised within 15 minutes of confirmation of booking by email. The host will deny claims of false advertising and will loudly talk over the guest when this is raised over the phone. The host offers a full refund when guest has nowhere else to go after arrival, but no options to stay somewhere, where the location matches the advertised description. The host claims that nobody ever complained about the location in 20 years. I suppose the argument here is that the customer (me) is wrong, is supported by the anecdotal evidence provided by the offending party. Well, let us see whether this review will be published, then the 20 year streak may be broken. The double bed in the sleeping area had a worn old matrace, the frame creaked loudly all night under a single person, and had screws sticking out of it. I only stayed there for one night, and found myself somewhere else to sleep. It's a holiday. Money does not matter as much, comfort and safety does. Good luck for your adventure, you may get what was advertised and paid for.
