Riad Le Coq Berbère

We had a wonderful stay at this riad and would highly recommend it. Everything was spotless, including our room, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed, including great local recommendations. We especially loved the swimming pool, which was right in front of our room. After exploring Marrakech in the heat, it was the perfect place to cool off and relax. The rooftop terrace was also beautiful and a great spot to unwind. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety of options every morning. Finally, the location was perfect, right in the heart of the medina and within walking distance of all the main attractions. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property! The courtyard, rooftop, and rooms are all wonderful. The staff is terrific and extreme helpful. Abdul was very helpful, but all were great. One young man ran out and purchased band-aids for my son's blister. Really enjoyed our stay.

Some in our party found the stairs difficult - if you find stairs hard and to stay on first floor so you only have one flight.

What I liked most about the property was definitely the location, which was very convenient for exploring the city. The staff were also very kind and welcoming throughout the stay. In addition, the structure itself is honestly beautiful, with a really charming atmosphere and lovely design.

What I did not like was that some important details were missing considering the high rating of the property. With temperatures reaching around 45°C, having no fridge in the room was quite inconvenient and I would strongly suggest adding one. Breakfast was good, but there were too many bees both on the rooftop and at the ground floor area, making it difficult to enjoy breakfast comfortably. I think the hotel should consider a solution for this. Also, since many Italian guests stay at the property, it could be nice to offer simple options like cappuccino or croissants, as they were completely unavailable. Finally, we unfortunately found and had to kill two cockroaches in our room almost every evening. I understand this may partly be due to the climate and is not entirely the hotel’s fault, but together with the other issues it made the experience feel more like a 6/7 rather than a 9.3.

Très bon séjour, l’emplacement du Riad est bien nous sommes directement plongés dans le souk et nous avons mis environ 10min pour se rendre à la place . L’accueil a été super, j’avais demandé une bougie pour mon conjoint à notre arrivée car c’était son anniversaire, qui a été respecté avec du thé ! La literie très bien et un très bon petit déjeuner !!! Nous avons notre fille de 3 ans , le personnel est attentionné avec les enfants. Je recommande ce Riad , qui est très joli !

Das Riad hat einen unheimlich tollen, entspannten marokkanischen Charme und besteht aus mehreren, faszinierend miteinander verschachtelten Häusern. Die Lage ist fantastisch, da man beim Heraustreten sofort mitten im Geschehen ist und von der Dachterrasse einen genialen Blick über die gesamte Stadt hat. Das Personal war absolut herzlich, die Atmosphäre sehr unkompliziert und es war alles da, was man braucht.

Die Unterkunft ist verkehrstechnisch etwas knifflig zu finden, da man nicht direkt mit dem Auto oder Taxi vorfahren kann, sondern ein Stück zu Fuß durch die Medina laufen muss. Zudem ist das Innere durch die vielen Treppen und Ebenen so labyrinthartig, dass wir uns in den zwei Nächten kaum zurechtgefunden haben – man sollte also etwas zusätzliche Zeit für die Orientierung einplanen.
