Juma Amazon Lodge

I am not sure where to begin with, but this was a dream come true for me. I came with certain expectations and the experience exceeded my expectations. From the management to the staff, service was prompt and quick. We had some issues with our room and it was resolved as soon as possible even though they were busy with other guests. The food was also healthy, fresh and tasty with so many different options. Attention was paid to details. The tours were also well organized and interesting. But what really took this experience to the next level was our tour guide, LEON. He made the tour experience even better and ensured we got what we asked for. Since we had medicinal backgrounds, he tailored one of our hikes based on that interest. He shared his knowledge,expertise and stories about the amazon and his passion was infectious. He took care of my mother as she hiked through the forest by holding her hands and ensured a safe trek. We also made some lifelong friends with our tour group because of LEON. I would highly recommend LEON as your tour guide for an elevated experience of the Amazon forest!!!

A magic soul-place. In the lush green jungle, in the missleiten of nowhere - the true heart of the Amazonas. A hotel gem, with carefully selected Materials and room Interieur, focussed on eco-friendlyness and sustainability, accompanied by the most heartful service, people and food ever possible. I am totally overwhelmed and can recommend Juma Lodge by 150%.

Everything from the moment we arrived and even the trip to the lodge was perfection. The food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was phenomenal. The staff were so warm and welcoming. The river bungalow with our private hammock looking out to the Amazon river was amazing. All of these things were perfect, but our guide, Leon, is what made the experience at Juma truly unforgettable. His expertise, his stories, his passion for the forest, and his goal of making our Amazon dreams come true is what we will remember most of our stay. Leon went above and beyond for us and in the process we’ve made some lifelong connections with our tour group and him. When we travel back into the Amazon or Brazil we wouldn’t have anyone other than him as our guide. If you are considering staying at Juma, don’t think about it, just book it. The food, immersive atmosphere, and just everything about it will give you the Amazon rainforest trip of your dreams. We especially loved the jungle hike and caiman tour.

Had the most amazing time in one of the most stunning places I've ever been. The accomodation, staff and food are all fab. The trips and activities are very special and you will hold them in your heart. Ralf (and Laendru)our guide was absolutely fantastic !!!!!

Friendly staff. Beautiful location! Great food. My room with balcony and hammock made me want to move in! I enjoyed the boating excursions, but bring umbrella for shade if it is sunny! Guides were knowledgeable. I appreciated they had local, indigenous food available for all meals to try. I would appreciate if they sold aloe or after-sun lotion. Perhaps some cream made by local ingredients would be great.

Top 3 of trips in the past 25 years traveling the world! Family of 4, one teenager and one 8 year old. We are world travelers and have lived overseas many times. We’ve stayed in every type of hotel, from 5-stars in NYC and Beijing, to bungalows in Phuket and Puerto Rico, this lodge is exceptional. The highlight of the trip was the staff, in particular our guides Ralf and Leandro, both locals from Amazonian riverine communities who went out of their way on making every day special. From the owner to the kitchen staff, everyone made every effort to make our stay perfect. We will 100% stay with Juma again. Disclaimer: We love being on boats, the wilderness and wild animals. Our kids are adventurous and don’t mind being disconnected from the world. If you need TV, 24/7 Wi-Fi or other city conveniences, this is not the right place for you.

Situated deep into the Amazon rainforest, this all-inclusive jungle resort surpassed all my expectations. The bungalow was exquisite with panoramic view of the river and the jungle, the food was delicious, the adventures were amazing and lastly the staff were very friendly. Our tour guide, Ralf, needs a special mention. He was very knowledgeable and put in his best effort to make sure we had the best Amazon experience from piranha fishing to wildlife sightings, night tours, catching caimans and the list goes on and on. I will highly recommend this place if you are planning to visit the Amazon.

Top class service from Juma group. Rooms are rustic but spacious, clean and beautifully kept. Bathrooms also with their powerful walk in showers, so welcome to return to. The hammock on the balcony almost as comfortable as the beds inside, which are so comfortable! The food is exquisite, every meal favoursome and delicious. Then there’s the freshly made breads and fruit smoothies. Delicious. The chef visits regularly and his team are charming and attentive. We spent the week cared for by guide Anny, who also joined us for meals. She was a delight to spend time with. Informative, great company, relaxed and a great sense of humour. On tours and treks we were joined by Helby, also very well informed, attentive and funny. They were a real double act and made our week. The treks are a good distance and pace. The highlight of my week was the canoe trip.

Excelente localização na floresta com bons tours da região. Conseguimos uma noite dormindo na floresta, o que foi um diferencial. Comida boa , staff muito simpáticos , e o guia muito bom. Pecou por falta de organização - os tours poderiam ser mais bem programados, algumas viagens eram para o mesmo local, fazenda cabocla poderia ser bem melhor - e viu-se muita falta de manutenção e serviço - sem internet o tempo todo e não nos avisaram antes, não conseguiram consertar a água quente em 3 dias, atraso de 1 hora no ônibus de ligação. Falta gestão .
