"Good location but poorly maintained hotel"

The lodge is in a good location. Walkable in the day time from the local train station.

There was a poor standard of maintenance and cleaning. Lots of items in the hotel were broken. The sink did not have hot water and the room was very cramped. You just get the impression that the hotel was run on a very tight budget and there are no places to get food within walking distance. In hindsight, I should've stayed in a local Premier Inn.
