We found the property to be great for a couple of days revisiting old haunts in the area, loved the breakfast, very accommodating with GF food.

Food and bar service on check in day was super. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and breakfast was poor. Room had a TV table outside the bathroom door in a dangerous position.

The Begelly Arms is conveniently situated for the Kilgetty, Saundersfoot, Tenby areas. It has ample parking space and they have an area for Motorhomes with electric hook-up, which is great. There is a large bar, albeit quite expensive, but then it would be in a tourist area. The rooms are clean and functional and not too small. Unfortunately, there was a knocking noise throughout the night, rather like a door swinging in the breeze every minute or so. Consequently, I got little or no sleep. We didn't dine there in the evening, but the fare looks typical for this kind of hotel. We did however have the breakfast, which wasn't good. The poached eggs were overcooked and served on dry toast. I'd have hoped for more, as the chef was cooking to order in the kitchen. The toast on the side was cold and rubbery. The marmalade was in individual containers and no more than barely orange-flavoured jelly. Disabled beware, all the rooms are upstairs. Overall, a good place for a one-night stay, which I think is probably their stock-in trade and the right price point.

Room was really good had maid service each day bed made and towels changed each day. Great breakfasts each day.

Nice property, good value for money - room clean and tidy, the whole place was tbf. Friendly staff too. Shame the breakfast time was so limited - but the food was nice. Stayed there twixe now - and would definitely stay there again.

We liked the food! Our room was very bland, decor looked like an office! The bed was very small, the room was large enough to take a king size! It also had an extra single bed placed at the base of the double. The room we booked wasn’t supposed to have this so I checked with the nice young man who checked us in, in case we had been given the wrong room! He confirmed room correct and offered to get bed removed as we would likely bump into it when going to the bathroom. About an hour later my husband went to the bar and whilst there asked about the bed, this guy said he was on his own and had nowhere to put the bed! When we went down for dinner it said wait to be seated and the same guy leant out from behind the bar to get us menu’s and pointed out which tables we could choose from, definitely not service with a smile!
