Wheyrigg Hall

Nice quiet location. Lovely staff and excellent dinner and breakfast. Only criticism was the rooms were not quiet with very thin walls. Was kept awake by football songs coming from drunk guys in next room at midnight on a tuesday which spoilt my sleep.

Plain and a bit tired but clean and good value for money. Staff were lovely. If you want luxury go somewhere else (and take your wallet) but if you like good simple friendly service, this Is fine. Quite far out of town.

Food was delicious, staff amazing, hotel beautiful and surroundings beautiful.

It was a good place for the money overall, although the room was somewhat out of date, with wallpaper coming off in places.

Made most welcome very clean room. The evening we had a meal at the hotel and we could not fault it. The following morning the breakfast and service was excellent would recomend this hotel

Heartly welcoming stuff, I arrived well after the restaurant was closed but they left the dinner for me ready knowing that I am coming late.

This is a lovely hotel, a bit old fashioned but lovely. Staff were so nice made you feel really welcome. Things that let it down were the squeaky floorboards in room along with the radiator in en suite which was banging at various times during the night. If these were fixed it would have been a lot better. But staff were a credit to this hotel. Food also was really good, big portions and lovely.
