Tradition Hotel

I had one of the best stays in a long time. The staff are keen helpful and kind.The rooms are cosy, cumfy and well maintained and of a higher quality than some of the large chain hotels.Dont want to go on too much as I would loike to revisit and be able to get a room.

Tradition Hotel is located at the River end of the main road through St Petersburg. Our room faced a main road but the windows were double glassed and the noise wasn't an issue for us. The windows also opened to allow fresh air. Across the road was the river and the Hermitage was directly opposite. The hotel was within walking distance of all the main tourist sites. If you really wanted to, you could also walk to the main train stations at the other end of the main road (Nevsky Prospekt). Breakfast was included and catered for all tastes. The staff spoke English and smiled!

We stayed here for one night and it was the perfect base to explore the beautiful city of St Petersburg. The hotel was really gorgeous, spotlessly clean, lovey decor amd super comfortable beds. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was just right to set us up for our journey the following day. We couldn't fault this charming boutique style hotel and at the very reasonable prices, this will be our only choice of hotel in St Petersburg when we return.

Had a great experience with the hotel and staff. There was some construction in front of the hotel and it was not that centrally located to the main attractions (a bit of a walk). All in all it was a pleasant stay and would recommend to others.

The staffs are friendly, helpful. Hotel very clean, good breakfast and location is 10 mins walk to Metro. They help us to dry the clothings and shoes after heavy rain even we already check out and provide tea and snack while waiting for taxi pick up. We do like to thanks all the staff and the Manager who help me to carry luggage to taxi. Hope to see them all very soon.

The rooms at the Tradition hotel are clean and comfortable. The bath is well done and includes a shower but no tub. The breakfast was included and very good though the breakfast room good get crowded. The hotel is on two floors and you must walk up to the second floor if your room is there no elevator). The only slight drawback was location. It is on the Petrograd side very close to the Peter and Paul Fortress. It will take about 15 or 20 minutes to cross the Neva River to get to the Hermitage and the sights in Central St. Petersburg. There is a water taxi stop very close to the hotel but the nearest metro station is 10 minutes or so away. We spent 5 days there in September 2011 and enjoyed the hotel very much. No hesitation about recommending.

We loved everything about our stay in St Petersburg. The facilities were great and the room was really comfortable and clean. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Although it is a 20 min walk to the Winter Palace, the location was fab and it was very close to lots of other sights. We would definitely come back here again.

I loved the feel of the hotel. It does not overlook the water though as it appeared in the photos. The hotel is on the street side ONLY. Their is no elevator as well, but we knew that in advance. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel other than we had a mix up with regards to my son staying in a roll away with us and they tried to charge us additional for that upon our arrival although I had previous confirmation that would not be the case. It all worked out in the end and they did what the reservation said.

The Hotel is on the edge of the city centre and its a scenic stroll into town centre across 2 bridges. Its a small but very comfortable hotel. The neighbourhood felt safe. The excellent staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was quite small but nice and the bed was about the most comfortable I've slept in. Great location, the view across the river at sunset as the floodlights light up the bridges and buildings across the river is spectacular! Would recommend the hotel to anyone, so long as you don't mind a short walk into the city.

We stayed at the Tradition Hotel for almost one week. It is clean and comfortable with a great breakfast and wonderful staff. Highly recommended.
