Staff were lovely, room had lovely balcony and sea view. Decent size pool and an ok beach across the road. Very reasonable price. Free breakfast each morning, light but enough and had a nice Italian touch. Make sure you book the sea view rooms. So stunning and the view made up for all of our issues in the hotel!

Our AC was very poor, one night was completely not working and we were really sweating and had a 6am start (it was 11pm). When trying to call reception, we were hung up on and when someone eventually looked at it around midnight, the only offer was to pack and move to a downgraded room for the rest of our stay. Noisy when balcony door open. Rooms not soundproof at all so didn’t sleep too well. Our first night, some boys were blasting music and yelling but staff did sort it out once we informed them. On two of our days there was no electricity and one day there was no running water, so couldn’t even flush the toilet. Was clearly out of their control. Difficult on our last day lugging suitcases up and down the stairs as the electricity being switched off stopped the lifts too. As well as this there was an annoying alarm going off around the pool area. The hotel suited our needs enough but be aware that it’s probably more of a 3* than 4*. The bathroom was very dated and dreary. There are marks and some slight mould around but still clean. Our shower filled up really quickly (a 5 minute shower flooded our bathroom) so we had to stop and start the shower which was irritating. Beware location is very far from anything and taxis are expensive. We waited half an hour in blistering heat for buses that never showed up (having already bought our tickets) and ended up paying €80 to get into Salerno town and back. On our first day, we arrived very late, around 10pm. On our last day, the flight back was late, so we assumed we would check out and then use the pool and shower around the pool area before our flight. We were told we have to pay €20 to use the pool and also we are not allowed to use the shower. Considering we missed our whole first day this seemed slightly over the top to charge us more just to use the pool. If you are wanting to chill in a non touristy hotel for some sun, beach and pool for a decent price then this was lovely. However, it wasn’t 4* worthy.
