Hotel Ancora

Känns inte som en riktigt 4 stjärnigt hotell. De har simbassäng och en privat strand men väldigt smutsigt. Väldigt fattigt frukost, fanns knappt något äta. Hotellet ligger långt utanför stan, finns knappt några busslinjer som åker förbi. Rena rum.

I am not really sure what to say about this hotel. Hotel has great sea view and you can see Amalfi beach in the distance. Rooms are big and nice until you start to look details. Our room 215 was not renovated completely. Around the new balcony doors there was paint missing. Also left side of the balcony doors could be locked but the right side did not even had a lock. Not all electricity sockets were installed. AC did not work. You can see in photos it was just renovated but it did not work. WiFi signal was bad on the one end of the room but on the other side of the room there was no WiFi signal at all... I could go on but I think you got the point. If you do not look at the details the room itself is realy spacious and it had a greeat view. Also breakfast was great and their beach bar is really nice.

Everything was excellent except lack of beach service

Struttura carina e pulizia adeguata. PERSONALE ECCELLENTE E GENTILISSIMO. Ho manifestato il disagio di un materasso duro per le mie esigenze e la sera stessa hanno provato a risolvermi il problema ma senza riuscirci perché, colpa mia, li avevo avvisati troppo tardi la sera. Il giorno dopo mi hanno sostituito il materasso. Vista della mia camera che si affaccia in un corridoio e bagno non finestrato. Colazione dozzinale, peccato. Non all'altezza della struttura. Nei dintorni è molto brutta la zona, spiaggia sporca e poco curata, ovvio che non dipende dall'albergo. Parcheggio sorvegliato mille punti. Mi ripeto ma perché è degno di nota, il personale si è rivelato eccellente. Educati, simpatici, disponibili e accoglienti.

Overall this was a lovely place to be for a few days however we experienced some challenges. The receptionist was brilliant. She spoke English (sadly my Italian is very basic and not adequate for anything more than fundamental interactions)and was very efficient and professional. The Room we had (401) was superb in most respects - Ample room, mini fridge, kettle, TV, dressing area, great views, a MASSIVE balcony. It was all clean and comfortable. Dedicated Hotel car parking with easy access is provided adjacent to the hotel with ground floor lift access to the hotel. The pizza choice for dinner was quite good. The Hotel "Bar" has a separate entrance on the left of the building and is more like a café but offered a good choice of beverages. The beach is literally just across the road (which can be quite busy at times) and has a range of other amenities along it's length. It looked like there was a cleaning up operation starting to remove some of the, mainly wooden, debris that had been washed up.

Sadly the shower cabinet was once an all singing and dancing unit with body jets and music however none of hose frills now work and it now only functions as a basic shower shower room looks worn and dated and is totally out of character with the rest of the room. Our food experience was disappointing. Breakfast was laid out buffet style and whilst adequate was not memorable however if you like sweet pastries there was a more varied choice. We appreciated the dinner menu being supplied in English and ordered Veal and a pizza. The waiter appeared to be unsure of out choice despite pointing it out clearly to him. My pizza (which was OK) arrived and it was about 10 minutes or so later that my partner was presented with a fish platter. We returned the fish and were presented with some meat after a further 10 minutes. Sadly this was poorly cooked and tasted off. We were grateful to the receptionist who translated and mediated for us. Despite having a kettle provided in the room there were no cups or anything else provided to make a hot drink with.

Struttura gradevole,personale gentile. Il piumone risultava macchiato, ma ce ne siamo accorti solo in tarda serata,al rientro in stanza e non abbiamo detto nulla, per il resto tutto bene

As fotos dos quartos não traduzem a real condição do hotel nem dos quartos. Nosso banheiro tinha infiltração e mofo o que causavam um mau odor no ambiente todo. Café da manhã foi o que salvou, muito bom.
