Hunt's Castle

We booked this place because of the fishing pier which was ok. But we were moved two times and ended up in a room that was loaded with ants, dead and alive, and in the bedding and crawling all over the towels, rickity old furniture, and a microwave that should be tossed. It was filthy, with rust on the inside, and really smelled foul. Old food underneath it, too. Everything in this place is very very old and COVID cleaning…. I seriously doubt it. Shower looked like someone either washed their mop in there or puked. We didn’t use it. Inches of dust everywhere, old and stained mattresses-very uncomfortable. Bought ant spray myself to spray. We slept on top of the blanket. Someone did come change out sheets and she was mopping when we got back from the store but we never got towels replaced. We would have left but room was nonrefundable so tried to make the best of it. Couldn’t wait to leave. Worst place we have stayed in, probably ever. Can’t recommend anyone stay here unless they do a major remodel.

Great view of the ocean! No hot water. Could not sleep in bed. Box spring broken. Water in shower dripping. Hate to see their water bill. Strangest way to make a bed. I slept on lower part of futon. Chewing gum on box spring above. This is such a neat hotel and I know we did not pay top dollar for the room. That said this room was bad! Hot tub not working, green and unattractive.

The room was dirty and there was no hot water. The bathroom door had the wood shredded. Literally the wood was peeled back. There were bugs on the floor. We left the next day.

When we first walked in there were roaches all over. Very disgusting place not kept clean. The pool was dirty and not kept up. The hot tub horrible also. The only good thing was the pier and the fishing. The tv in the room had no remote. Very poorly lit rooms also.

Smelled of mold. Mouse droppings. Stains on sheets. They actually have a sign that reads. You have 15 minutes to change your mind about staying. Now I understand why. I would expect something like this if inexpensive. But it was pricey. The picnic area it ok and the pier. The pool did not seem fit to swim. The hot tub was not working. If they would invest on up keep I see a possibility of being a nice place to stay. I won't stay there again.

This was our second time staying at this place and I was very disappointed this time. The room we stayed in was #108. It had a strong chemical smell when we entered that eventually went away or we just got used to the smell. That first night when we finally laid down to get some rest we noticed that the blankets were dirty. And when we pulled the sheets off... there were dead bugs either bed bugs or cockaroches. So u know them sheets went clean either if those were there. Then we noticed no remote so we couldn't even change channel unless we got up to change it. So we just left it on the channel it was originally on. On our second nite going into the early morning hour of check out we noticed water had leaked from the ac and the entire floor from the ac to the fridge was wet. What a way to wake up by putting your feet on a cold wet floor. This experience was horrible for us. The only good thing this place has is that it near the ocean and a beautiful view and walking distance to lots of places nearby

This place is nothing like the pictures and everything there was broken or didn’t work

This hotel has a great location but is poorly maintained.hot tub not working,also ice machine,elevator not working. Only warm water in room. Would not stay here again.

Place location is great but it is very old. The room could be cleaner also. The stairs were extremely dirty and elecatir didn't work

This place was nice and had great sevice!
