Excellent location, amenities require upgrade

I stayed at the hotel on 9th and 10th April, 2023. The ordeal started from the moment i checked in. I informed the front desk a day before that i shall require an early check in. I was told that Check in is not possible, it would have been possible had i booked directly with the hotel. Then the front desk person asked me for Rs. 2,000 plus taxes for the early check in. This was when i was checking out early in the nigh of 10.04.2023. Even though i had booked breakfast inclusive rates, i was told that breakfast will be chargeable, since i could only avail breakfast on the next two mornings. After a lot of persuasion the staff agreed to provide breakfast on the first day. Third, since the hotel is one of the only hotels in the Civil Lines area, they have a monopoly and act with impunity. The price of the room is comparable to that of any 4 star hotel elsewhere in the country. The food and beverages are also over priced. I got milk for my child at Rs. 200 plus each time. Almost dry sandwiches at Rs. 400 per plate and beer at more than 300% percent of the printed price. The staff is uncooperative and talk as if they have some authority over the guests. They refuse you for small little help also. worst of all the ambience is as if they are doing some charity if you stay there. To top it all the bell boys just keep waiting to get tipped. Sadly there are no options available in Prayagraj. Stay only if it is a must. Not recommended at all. Poor service and bad attitude.

Very good location for a hotel, with good hospitality, courteous front desk executives, and newly renovated, clean spacious rooms. We stayed overnight and could rest well in the calm surrounding, however, they must improve on their toiletries arrangement, and we did not get towels even after asking for them, we stayed overnight so could manage. Morning breakfast was the main attraction of our stay, fruits, egg dishes, and spread was exactly what we Indian travelers look for.

This is a very clean, spacious and calm hotel. Located in a quite comfortable and safe neighborhood, it its very peaceful inside, no noise or hustle around and your sleep in silence and coziness is guaranteed. Team was also very friendly, helped me with organizing taxis and directions, provided excellent room service and amazing food. All facilities work well, everything is clean and functioning perfectly. Recommended for short or long stay!

Very good location good staff .Close to good shopping and food court. Reception staff snd rest of the team was very professional and helpful. Good size rooms and well kitted . We stayed for 2 nights and had booked 3 rooms.

The Grand Continental, Prayagraj is located right at the city center. The positive points about the hotel is that The room was spacious, had all the amenities, bed was clean and comfortable. Food was reasonably good, staff are nice and helpful. The negative points were: The floor of the hotel room was really dirty, similarly the table tops and all such surfaces were dirty. There was one bath towel and one hand towel for 2 persons and it was not clean. We got one litre water for 2 persons. We need to keep on asking for the basic amenities which should otherwise be provided. Overall the stay was good. I would have loved to give this hotel a 5 star, but the lack of cleanliness made me give a 3 star.

This hotel is located in the busy civil lines area near PVR Cinemas in Prayagraj. It is a well-maintained property. Rooms are clean. Food was good, service was OK. The dining area is a little congested. The staff was friendly and directed us for sight-seeing. You can easily get Auto / cab here in this area.

My 8 days stay was homely. staying every month due to courteous front desk especially Ahmad and rony, hygiene, delicious breakfast, good size rooms, competitive package. taking care of covid norms strictly.

Das Hotel als luxury hotel zu umschreiben, ist sehr weit hergeholt. Die Zimmer sind schlecht gepflegt und derart dreckig, dass es uns ekelte, irgendetwas abzulegen. Die Ablagen, Schraenke und Nachttische waren mit Staub ueberzogen. Selbst das upgrade in die naechste Kategorie, zeigte die gleiche Unzulaenglichkeit, so dass hier das Management dringend gefordert ist, diesen Mangel zu beseitigen.
