Holiday Inn Express Amite by IHG

The room was clean.

Breakfast was cold! All of it biscuits, gravy and eggs. The room was nice but the room would be cold then hot. For the price, I don’t think it was worth it!!

1) Bugs (mites) !!!!!! which were discounted by morning mgr (i have pix of my ankles and biting only happened in room); and 2) so few choices in tv. I was told HI used “the minimum required.” Seriously??? For the kind if money I paid I of course expected a variety of shows. After all we are traveling and need relaxation. I was refused a discount by morning mgr

This was my second stay here for a wedding and us stay again. Clean rooms friendly staff and free breakfast

Hotel was nice and clean. Quiet room and nice, hot breakfast. No complaints.

The fact that the elevator was broken for two weeks and we were not informed way ahead of time. Staff was rude

When I arrived to check in, I was told that the elevator was down indefinitely. I should've been informed well before I arrived since my money had already been taken, but I wasn't. The desk clerk even checked some handwritten list that she had and she told me my name wasn't on it and apologized. Then I asked to be on the first floor and I was told no and sent to the 3rd floor. After check-in, I walk 3 flights of stairs with my luggage to get to my room for the key card to not work, either of them. SO I drag my stuff back downstairs for another key card. After Im in my room next door there is a child with a constant ear-piercing scream. Leaving for work on Monday I saw a roach crawling on the wall outside my room. Which in turn made me not eat any food there for my entire stay. During my stay I had to have my room key recoded 8 times because it kept demagnetizing. There was never anyone to bring me towels during the entire 6 night stay, I had to go get them myself. This was the single worst experience I've had at any hotel ever. I chatted with an Expedia rep who said he would issue me a one key cash compensation for the total taxes on the trip and I still haven't received those. It feels like I should've never booked through you guys. And after the way this has been handled I don't think i will nor will I refer anyone to you all. All I want is half my stay back and the onekey cas I was promised by the chat rep.

There was no indication on the website that the elevator on a multi level hotel was out of service. The hotel did not offer a cancellation due to this issue. We had to take a room on the second floor.
