The Bell Hotel Thetford by Greene King Inns

Everything in this hotel was terrible. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok nothing special for £25 for two people. £105 for one night in a very uncomfortable bed is a joke. The toilet in the common area was clogged with poo We do not recommend this hotel

The staff were lovely and welcoming and very friendly.

Hotel rather tired although it could be made very nice indeed. Room ok although again, in need of refurbishment. Toilet seat broken, no chain on basin plug so difficult to get out with sink full of water. Bath had standing water in, maybe from a leaking tap? We didn’t use it. Tables in bar and restaurant very sticky.

We've stayed here a few times and the hotel has lots of history. Unfortunately, it now needs some updating and repair. There were a few areas of the hotel which were obviously not tended. For example, there were tiles which had fallen onto the floor of the gents toilet. They were still loose on the floor 4 days later! Apart from Madison who worked in the bar and was very helpful and friendly, the rest of the staff were really miserable and unfriendly. The girl on reception was unfriendly and uninterested! The bar seemed to have no set hours. Sometimes it closed at 10:15, other times at 12:00. We saw a number of customers refused drinks when the bar should have been still open, especially for residents! Doubt if we'll stay there again 😰

Hotel clean but very tired

I was staying whilst on a business trip. My room was in the main building and was not flat. The room had a slope in it which made me feel very dizzy. The furniture was dated and the bed was uncomfortable. The bar was a very pleasant experience and I enjoyed the food and beer garden.

The room needs updating, had to wait 10 minutes to get served drinks at the bar, breakfast was average

Just want we needed staff were fantastic and really went the extra mile to accommodate our early arrival and had the room ready for us. Room was nice and big and comfortable. It is a little dated but generally expected. Breakfast was good also. But staff really made the stay were super helpful and friendly.

We like that it kept the old feeling about the building
