Breakfast was fabulous and the Scottish host was very welcoming. He was friendly and attentive, if a little bemused by the fact no one wanted black pudding!

All on the ground floor, parking just outside the entrance. Easy for the bar and breakfast room and beautifully decorated. Some great features! Breakfast excellent, (best muffins ever) would definitely stay again. Staff were lovely! Nice beer garden in the summer. Could even walk the dog around the property

Visited last night arrived at 7.45 pm to the brightest lit restaurant I have ever been in like an airport lounge Ordered drinks then waited a long time to get menus We chose and had to catch the eye of staff who were more concerned with spraying cleared tables with some product to clean them and lay up for the next day ! However 2 steaks 2 katsu curry ordered Sorry no steaks Eventually 9.10 got scampi mediocre and dry Salmon fillet ok The 2 curries were chicken burgers covered in congealed sauce I left mine ate chips and rice my friends hubby ate hers as he said it was better than the scampi at least We were left with dirty plates in front of us for ages again staff concerned with setting tables clearly for Mother’s Day as they were saying oh we have an 8 and a 6 etc I can only assume it was the manager who cleared the plates could clearly see my meal was left did not mention it (because our friends were taking us it was embarrassing for me to say anything without being asked ) Sadly we won’t be in any hurry to return shame as we are local

Didn’t take our Scottish money until the WiFi went down but otherwise great
