The Ely Hotel by Chef and Brewer Collection

For me this place serves a purpose for staying in that particular area. But sadly the rooms are quite dark & cold without having the heating on constantly. The bed is quite soft and the cushion headboard bangs against the wall with any movement. I was on the ground floor and the walls/floor are just too thin, I was woken up when I went to sleep from the person above walking around then again at 5am when they were up. We ate in the attached Pub restaurant, I think they were overwhelmed with customers so service was so so slow. Dinner was good, but breakfast of Smoked Salmon & Eggs was very dry. Overall not somewhere il come back to.

Nice comfortable room, everything you need, only issue was you could hear the road noise even though it was set well away from the road, this was due to the old windows

Extremely helpful check in process which allowed us to check in early and get our keys as we had a wedding to attend. Clean and well appointed room. Good breakfast. Would stay again if in the area

Second stay in a couple of weeks, I cannot complain about anything, I will be going back Rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped

Spotless clean room and en-suite. Very quiet, slept well, bed very comfortable! Restaurant good with plenty of choice and service great. Happily stay again
