Food was very good and the service was also good

The room was tired and the shower had lots of black mould. The room felt as though it needed a very good clean right through. The bedside light was such that you could not read by it and there was only one bedside cabinet.

Stayed here 5 nights while visiting family & friends.Really friendly hospitable staff! Excellent menu! My husband enjoyed full English breakfast 5 mornings in a row while I was treated to excellent poached eggs! We were running late one evening, called to ask if a meal could be left for us & we returned to a plate & a half of delicious fish, chips & salad each! Comfy beds. Very useful fridge in our room to keep our water cold. Thank you so much!

We had a delay due to an accident on the M3, which held us there for a few hours and pushed us past the closing hours of the restaurant. Steve (who had heard from other customers in the same accident) called my partner and asked if we would like some sandwiches made and left in our room ready for when we arrived, which saved us trying to find a takeaway while trying to settle our 1 year old son. The room was a beautiful family room with lots of space for us and little one to walk around in safely, with views out across the lake. Breakfast is a nice fill-up for the day, along with the evening meal in the restaurant, and the final touch was a relaxing cool beer in the bar. I want to say thank you to Steve and the team at the Halfway House. You made a hectic evening turn into a restful night. We were all relaxed again to enjoy the final day of our holiday. This isn't the first time we have satyed and won't be the last. Many Thanks Pete, Karen and Freddie
