St Leonard's Hotel by Greene King Inns

This hotel is in serious need of renovation.

The property was in a tired condition. However the staff were welcoming and attentive a good choice of drinks was available the menu was quite extensive with a good choice the lack of fresh vegetables the only criticism. The staff and service was good.

Good Location, comfortable room, building very worn could do with a lick of paint. We booked dinner bed and breakfast dinner menu limited and some of the item where out of stock. When you finally get your food its worth the wait but does take an extremely long time the 3 course dinner will take more than 2hrs to complete but the food they did have was really tasty. They had a wedding on Saturday afternoon into evening when we left on Monday the glasses and empty bottles where still on the tables in the garden area.

It was a lovely hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food choices were excellent. My only complaint is that the wifi was poor and at times non-existent.

Booked 3 rooms , 2 were average, Room 5 had damp with Beatles evident ( photos available) Bar had little choice of beers due to broken chiller ,many spirits also not aavailable, breakfast experience very poor as well,many ingredients not available,all in all not a great stay. Awaiting feed back from management.

Great staff, good value, comfy and no issues. Food was decent enough and included in my room rate. Needed somewhere close for work and suited me fine.

Hotel was lovely for a short stay, room was spacious and although a little tired, was perfectly clean. Reception host was pleasant and helpful. We would definitely recommend the hotel and maybe it was an off-day, but possibly the worst food ever, we were served in the restaurant!

Double bed comfortable; sofa bed not so comfortable. There is room for a proper single bed.

Only problem was the traffic noise late. Windows an curtains were closed.

Both soap dispensers empty, shower could not be more confusing 2 shower heads controls at other end of bath, one milk sachet congealed my tea, TV remote a tad difficult to turn-off TV, bathroom small mirror?......but otherwise nice view, quiet room, massive bed, clean, a tad more ornate than hotels over the road that were charging £10 more this week too......Saw Spain beat Germany!:-)
