Ye Olde Talbot Worcester by Greene King Inns

The hotel rooms are run down, there was only warm or hot water available in the taps (no cold water from either the sink or the shower!). Staff were ok, but seemed pretty disinterested. Pub attached seemed quite nice. I have been overcharged for the booking, and it's proving incredibly difficult to get the refund sorted. Hotels.com have been useless.

A great location in the centre of Worcester. It’s a little tired and in need of a makeover but a comfortable stay.

Chose the Old Talbot because I have stayed there before. A good pub with Greene King ales on draught, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the meals were on the upper end of pub grub.

Staff friendly... Cooked breakfast needs improvement: scrambled eggs & avocado inedible. Evening meal: salad & rump steak pretty good. The bed could do with a new mattress and pillows...one soft one firm. Great bath and plenty of hot water. All in all nearly 7 out of 10.

The staff were amazing. Very friendly and professional. Room was nice enough. Pretty basic but nice. Coffee & tea making facilities. Large bathroom. Amazing shower. Power shower. I didn’t want to get out from under it. Very hot too which was fantastic. Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant and bar was equally as good. Food was lovely and tasty. Overall a very nice place to stay. Central to where I needed to go. Would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Friendly service and good food from nreakfast onwards. State of curtains in Room 3 needs attention and took a lot of run water before the hot came through, but that is an old hotel problem, I guess. My fourth stay there and shall use it again.

Convenient location, very helpful service, bath tub as requested - super hot bath ! Slightly scruffy furniture.
