positives - friendly, central not so good - dated bathroom (felt like a Travelodge...) very thin walls - woken up by sound of guest in next bedroom coughing and spluttering expensive (£130 without breakfast) given above

We loved the hotel. Perfect location near to the centre,station and harbour. Clean,comfortable and welcoming. Had a good nights sleep. Delicious breakfast. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.

A bit dated but clean and friendly

The only things that did'nt come up to scratch were the bed (small double) the bathroom (shower over bath) Other than that everything was fine. the staff were very helpful,friendly and accomodating.

Lovely hotel near the quay, great access to food and other activities. Only downside was no parking, however multi-storey 5 min walk away, expensive to park there though. Would definitely stay again.

Well situated hotel on the main socialising area with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. However the hotel is a pub/restaurant but needs attention in it decor which is a little tired. The outside space needs attention too and all the tables that were available needed cleaning and ashtrays emptying as all were full and over flowing. Although the hotel which is A Green King franchise and happily advertises that it supports “BlueCard” holders giving discount. This is not available on the hotel or for breakfast, only in its restaurant. If your going to support this card allow it’s use freely !!! Breakfast was very good value, but again, tables needed cleaning and clearing.

Parking was an issue as no on site parking. Nearest were expensive for an extended stay. Some of the decor needed work as there was paint peeling in restaurant ceiling. Very friendly and helpful staff. Full English breakfast was good and good service. Location was perfect for me.

Great location, I stayed for the 3 nights of the Jubilee celebrations, but LOTS of external noise - 5.58 on Friday morning council emptying the bottle bank, birds roosting just outside the windows & loud pub music (from the other pubs) till late - I work in live music, so no worries with the levels - unless folk are trying to sleep The worse coffee that I've experienced this year whilst staying in 10 countries & with lack of sleep I NEED GOOD COFFEE. A few frayed carpets, 4 of the 7 lights in my room didn't work & some shabby paintwork - Green King now need to spend some money & get what could be, a nice hotel in a fab part of the world back on track.
