Prachtige locatie en mooi uitzicht vanaf het balkon. Bed is comfortabel.

Het een en ander was kapot in de hotelkamer, en het zag er verouderd uit vergeleken met de (binnenkomst) benedenverdieping van het hotel.

Es gibt zwei Restaurants. Wir hatten in Julias gebucht zum Abendessen...Karte beinhaltet einfache Küche..Geschmacklich und Gewürtechnisch viel Luft nach oben. Bettdecken vom Winter und nicht richtig Flecken entfernt.

Excellent location on the edge of Oosterbeek, with easy access to the surrounding woods and to the 1944 1st AB Div Oosterbeek perimeter locations. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. The hotel is in lovely grounds, with plenty of space for parking. Inside, the main area of the hotel is pleasantly spacious and comfortable. The staff we dealt with ranged from pleasant and fine to very friendly and helpful, so overall a good experience. Breakfast was good; plenty of choice and options to eat indoors (in air-conditioned rooms) or outside on the (smoke-free) terrace. I would have liked the option of decaffeinated coffee at breakfast but wasn’t concerned enough to ask, so suspect I could have had it. We didn’t have lunch or dinner, so can’t comment on the options. We had two rooms; initially a very nice room at the front of the hotel with a balcony; very comfortable. We asked to move for our second night due to the temperature (above 30 degrees C). The staff member we dealt with in this matter was extremely helpful and we got another room; this wasn’t actually as good as the first room overall (still had balcony, but not as good a view) but was perfectly fine and, in the heat, the aircon made it much more comfortable, so a genuine upgrade! There is a gym and swimming pool but we don’t have time to use these, so can’t comment.

Given the standard of the hotel, I am surprised that not all rooms have refrigerators and safes (our second room did have a safe). Also, as other reviews have mentioned, some of the decor is in need of an update. We had peeling wallpaper in our first bathroom. Nevertheless, I would stay again as the pluses outweighed the minuses.

The double bed was not a double bed but two individual singles pushed togther. The restraunt was not open on Sunday, but not mentioned on Bookings.com It said Bath on bookings.com, but there wasn't one.
