Very comfortable room and very good breakfast selection

Can get hot in rooms and opening window increases street noise from high street.

The hotel is an old Coaching Inn-style pub on Stony Stratford High Street, with a lively pub and restaurant downstairs and plenty of other places to eat along the road

It's not The Ritz, and like all of these pub-hotels bits of it are a tad tired - but it's got character, the staff are nice, breakfast is good and it is right in the middle of the nightlife of Stony Stratford - all of which beats staying at one of the faceless chain hotels on the ring road at the edge of town

My room appeared to have had a recent refurbishment, Very comfortable bed and good shower.

The refurbishment ended at the room's door. Tired carpet in the corridor with a stain right outside the door. The route to the stairs from reception, is ill lit and downright shabby. I initially thought that I'd taken a wrong turn. Staffing levels were minimal, and as a result service was slow (at best).

Really friendly & efficient staff. The room was very clean and characterful. The hotel was right in the middle of the beautiful Stony Stratford high street with parking at the back. A good price for such a lovely stay.

The bathroom was very clean, but a little dated.

Staff very welcoming and room was a good size

Room faced on to the high street which was extremely noisy until the early hours. Windows did not block any noise at all.
