"We were placed in the stables ;)"

A large hotel property surrounded by vineyards. Very kind staff on the first day (but unfortunately not on the second).

We stayed in the stables — literally, no joke. Luckily, we have a good sense of humor and were only staying for one night. The accommodation did not match the photos at all, but I was too tired in the evening to check carefully. The annex building mentioned in many reviews is actually a former utility building and stable. If you really want to stay in the castle itself, make sure to specify during booking that you do not want accommodation in the annex. Overall, the hotel is in need of renovation, and some of the rude reception staff should definitely be replaced.

Wir hatten als Gruppe einen schönen Aufenthalt im Schloss Edesheim. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

"Avoid this place! Awful service, double charged, very rude staff!"

The location is nice, if they don't ship you off to another building.

When we checked in, we discovered we had been "upgraded" to a suite. This turned out to be a dusty, unpleasant attic in a remote building. Crappy bed, dead bugs on the floor. I paid for a stay in a lovely, romantic hotel, and they put me in the barn? Then, when I checked out, the rude desk person (who couldn't even be bothered to make eye contact) charged me for the two nights' stay. (Yeah, I was too jet lagged to remember that I had booked on Booking.com.) So now I am in hell trying to get a refund from someone for the double payment. Given the level of service I experienced, it seems unlikely that the hotel will be in any hurry to make this right.

"Very disappointing stay"

Looked lovely from the outside

Very old and dated room in the annex building, room was split with an impractical metal spiral staircase. Apparently we had been ‘upgraded’ but I wish I had realised this at check in and would have refused the upgrade! I booked to stay in a deluxe room inside the castle and would have preferred that. Restaurant food very expensive and very bland. Not worth the money. Makes me said to leave a poor review but I was so disappointed with this hotel.
