Tilajari Hotel Resort

We had a great time at this resort. The in-house tours/classes we great. The coffee class was interesting and informative. Harvey was a great speaker.

Tiene buenas instalaciones comunes (piscina,jacuzzi,zona chill-out) ypara hacer deporte,gym....El personal de recepción muy amable.Nos ofrecieron un tour nocturno organizado por el hotel ,en el que Pedro nos enseño diferentes ranas,incluida la verde simbolo nacional.También vimos un puercoespin tico ,muy diferente a los que estamos acostumbrados en europa.

El césped que da para la zona del rio estaba muy embarrado y con poca vegetación.

todo iba muy bien hasta que aparecieron cucarachas en el restaurante. una me cayo hasta en mi cabeza.

We really enjoyed staying at Tilajari. Originally we didn't love the room we were given as it was dark and felt damp, so we asked to pay for an upgrade and were offered it for free, which was super accommodating. Our new room was perfect with a fantastic view out over the lake and lots of iguanas, which our kids loved. It felt extremely jungly and magical, and the restaurant staff were friendly and polite. Watching the birds on the feeders really added to the breakfast experience! My main comment if you are booking is consider where you are going to be during the day. We had transfers between areas but no car ourselves, so when we tried to book hot springs trips and volcano etc we were nowhere near the area for pick ups, which we hadn't realised. The hotel doesn't offer a shuttle into La fortuna so we had a lot of extra cost in Ubers. We also tried to book the complimentary frog tour on the hotel property - the first night was cancelled because of rain, the second the guy was off and the third he just didnt turn up, which was so disappointing. All in all, it's a really lovely place, the food is fantastic and the staff are all really great.

Loved the room, the staff, the activities especially river float with Louis, breakfast by the river with the birds. Iguanas, armadillos and many bird sightings on the location, large pool and jacuzzi. It was truly a wonderful experience staying here.

Sometimes it wasn't clear if an activity was everyday or if you needed to reserve it and how much time in advance one needed to reserve. I missed my complimentary activity of a nature walk, but the river float trip with Luis was exceptional!
