Hotel Paulette

This is a small, boutique hotel right in the centre of Rouen, within a stone's throw of the Cathedral and the city's lovely old town. Rooms are on the small side but well provided-for, clean sheets, good towels, strong shower. Continental breakfast is buffet-style in a pleasant room overlooking the street. Staff are English-speaking and exceptionally helpful. Overall, I'd strongly recommend this smoothly-run hotel.

We were lucky to find on-street parking, but parking near the hotel is clearly a challenge. Contact the hotel beforehand for advice on where to park.

Location is central, i like the smell of the towels and handsoap.

Our room was located under a sloping roof, which made the bathroom somewhat impractical. We are not bath people, so having to shower while standing in the bathtub was a bit challenging, especially since there was no shower curtain. The low ceiling above the tub further limited the space. I can only imagine that taller guests might even need to sit down to take a shower comfortably.
