Sandown Heritage Motel

My husband and I have stayed at the hotel before and they didn’t disappoint. They accommodated us really well because we were arriving very late. They supplied our room key in the lock box and provided the pin details ahead of time and took PayID for the $100 security bond. Staff was very kind and provided anything we needed e.g. extra towels, tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed was large and comfortable with extra pillows and blankets supplied in the room. The shower was very spacious with good water pressure and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Thanks for another enjoyable stay.

The daughter touched a patch of carpet while playing on the ground and her hand broke out in a rash. I washed hands and it went away. I suggest a thorough cleaning of all the carpet area.

The Sunday i arrived, a Christian band was playing in the function room, praising Jesus far too loudly and for too long, the noise filtered into my room the whole time, I was tired and wanted to sleep from my travels.

Parking was good, room clean, basic amenities available and only downside was the smokey smell of the room and despite people smoking outside the smell comes into the room and was very disappointing. Checkout time is 10am and pool looked clean like the pictures

Great parking right outside your door!! Excellent having a microwave there, but there were no utensils this time to eat my food! (just an oversight i think, there is normally utensils there) Excellent value for an overnight stay!!

I really liked the property, it is older but is still comfortable and clean. I was confused though by the level of room service. It did change each day (from fully made beds and changed towels on the first day -> to no made beds, my linen gone where I needed to ask for more and my used cups not being cleaned or changed out by the last day) - probably my only criticism. I however would stay here again, I might need to ask what the expectation of the room service is next time.
