Hotel El Diamantista

El hotel está bien situado con facilidad de aparcamiento al lado del río subiendo la calle unos 700 m estas ya en la catedral y el ayuntamiento, se le podía sacar mas provecho esta sucio y a diez metros hay un bar pero no dan desayunos. Sitio tranquilo ,con wifi, aire acondicionado tv y baño!

Toledo is a beautiful city, naturally fortified by being on top of a hill. This hotel is at the bottom of the hill and requires a uphill hike to get into town. That said, it only takes 10 minutes and we really enjoyed making our way through all the narrow streets to get to the cathedral. The hotel itself is functional--good a/c but bad water pressure.

The hotel was nice for the price but not as centrally located as we would have liked. We had to take two taxi's from the train station (there are no vehicles in Toledo to fit a family of five, so they forced us to take two taxis even though our three young kids could have easily fit). If you are driving, I could see this place being tough to find. The room was standard, but good for a one night stay. The service desk was helpful but a bit disorganized about our reservation. The walk is only 15 minutes to the Cathedral, but up a failrly steep incline so you arive exhausted. Beware if you have issues walking. Next time will opt for a hotel in the center of town where you can take a bus from the train station and skip the uphill hike.

We walked to downtown, 5 minutes. We just ran early morning one day, trail was near hotel and great. We recommend it and we will stay there again.

A small "mom and pop" hotel on the river at the very south end of Toledo. Drive up, unload luggage and then park down the hill on the lower level -- free! Parking can be 30 euros per day in most Spanish cities. Very hard to find. We hired a cab to escort us there and it was worth the five euros and might save you an hour of searching. No amenities except a comfortable room where the windows opened out onto the river. All we could hear was the breeze blowing through the trees and the burbling of the water. Comfortable, secluded and relaxing. It is about a 10 - 15 minute walk uphill, perhaps 400 vertical feet, to central Toledo through narrow, winding streets that are classic Spain. If you get hungry in the night, have some snacks. This place is "out in the country." Great value for the price.

Al llegar al hotel estábamos asustados por las malas críticas que tenía pero la verdad al principio no nos trataron mal, consideramos q incluso habíamos tenido suerte, en fin el primer fallo vino cuando nos dijeron q nos iban a llevar a otro hotel q tenían y q incluso estaba mejor, no pusimos mayor problema. Cuando llegamos no era más que una casa de familia, incluso se veía el salón y en la planta baja habían construido una habitación, en buenas condiciones así que no nos quejamos. Salimos a visitar la ciudad y al volver hacia mucho calor por lo q decidimos encender el aire acondicionado, buscando el mando nos dimos cuenta q no estaba y decidimos abrir las ventanas ya que no sabíamos a quien recurrir. Al día siguiente al abandonar el hotel, nos llaman diciendo que falta el mando del aire, volvimos para explicar la situación y la señora nos trato de ladrones, insinuando que sin lugar a dudas nos lo habíamos llevado nosotros, en fin, q le explicamos lo q nos sucedió al día anterior y ella alego q xq no le habíamos avisado y nosotros le intentamos explicar que no sabíamos ni siquiera a donde ir o a quien dirigirnos pues la habitación nos la había entregado su hijo y q como era comprensible no íbamos a entrar al salón de su casa. Se puso a discutir diciendo q eso era un hotel y no un domicilio particular aunq cabe mencionar q en ningún sitio de la fachada hay nada q haga mención a q eso es una casa de huéspedes. En fin, nos hizo sacar todas las cosas de nuestra maleta y seguía insistiendo en q nosotros nos habíamos llevado el mando, hartos de la situación decidimos llamar a la policía y en cuanto me vio sacar el móvil y marcar cambio de actitud pidiendo disculpas y q nos fuéramos porfavor, cosa q nos reafirmo el hecho de que no tienen ningún tipo de licencia. Por 50€ no merece la pena hospedarse en un sitio así, es mejor gastar un poco más y saber q al menos estas durmiendo en un lugar seguro y no con una familia. Lamentable, definitivamente ahí no volveremos jamás!

Entorno del hotel junto al río Tajo precioso y tranquilo. Se puede aparcar por los alrededores. Para subir al centro es cuesta arriba, aunque no está muy lejos. Al hotel le falta algún servicio tipo cafetería, por lo demás está bien calidad/precio.
