"Ein einzigartiges Idyll für alle Sinne"

Es ist hervorragend und außergewöhnlich im positivsten Sinne. Hier wird man als Gast mit authentischer Freundlichkeit und bester Qualität bedient. Das Kapsaliana Village Hotel ist tatsächlich ein altes, griechisches Dörfchen inmitten von Olivenhainen. Es ist wunderschön restauriert und begrünt. Das Restaurant bietet ein Frühstück, welches wir aus den besten 5-Sterne Hotels nicht einmal kannten. Das Mittag- und Abendessen ist nicht weniger grandios. Viele Zutaten werden direkt im eigenen Garten angebaut und man kann zusehen, wie die Küchencrew kurz vor dem Essen die Zutaten frisch erntet und zubereitet. Überhaupt ist der Chefkoch Vasilis Leonidou ein Erlebnis für sich, sehr hilfsbereit, aufgeschlossen, enorm kreativ und qualitätsbewusst. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und restauriert, top-sauber, haben allen Komfort, ohnehin wird hier auf jedes Detail geachtet. Im Dorf kann man ein Museum besichtigen und vieles durch Kurse lernen, zum Beispiel kochen mit dem Chefkoch, Olivenöl-Verprobung, Pflanzenkunde, Seifenherstellung etc. Als Vielreisende haben wir über die Jahrzehnte viele tolle Orte auf der ganzen Welt kennenlernen dürfen, auch den Mittelmeerraum haben wir stark bereist, aber uns ist das Kapsaliana Village Hotel als eine wirklich besondere Perle in Erinnerung geblieben, wir kommen definitiv wieder, mehrmals und wir freuen uns sehr darauf! Vielen Dank an alle, die unsere Zeit in Kapsaliana zu einem zu wunderschönen Erlebnis machten.

"Serene perfection "

Perfect for a few days of total relaxation in stunning surroundings. Staff had it 'just right'. Rarely eat in hotels but food was exceptional. Cannot fault other than minor niggle with shower pressure not being great.

"The best kept secret of Crete"

An absolutely wonderful experience at the Kapsaliana Village. We stayed for 7 days and could have stayed longer. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant was fantastic for breakfast and dinner with great variety, quality and hospitality. We ended up having our best meals in Crete at the hotel thanks to their award winning chef. The property is nestled in a quiet, secluded hillside which is perfect if you want relaxation by the pool or walks through the neighboring olive orchards. I would recommend having a car if you wanted to do any excursions.

Nice location to drive into rethymno town or explore the nearby countryside. The property was immaculate, the staff fantastic. The bed was a bit saggy, which made for a poor nights sleep. Otherwise excellent all around.
