"Nice hotel but avoid top floor and don’t buy water from the bar."

7.0

The beds were very comfortable and the room was very nice. Breakfast was tasty and staff were efficient and friendly.

This is a 4* hotel. There was no wardrobe, only a clothes rail. One small chest of 2 drawers. One drawer had a large blanket it in and each drawer was sticky and difficult to pull out. We had dinner at the hotel. We decided to sit at the same seat for breakfast and there were still a few chips on the floor under the table from the previous night. I bought two bottles of water at the bar to take up to our room. Each 75cl bottle cost £6.95. £13.90 for two bottles of water. We were on the top floor. There are fire doors at the top of the staircase. They make it tricky when going to the room, but when going back downstairs, they are dangerous as the doors open directly onto the stairs. There is no area to stand. Because there are two doors, each very narrow, it means you must use two hands to push them open, it makes it difficult to grab a handrail to go down. A small area of landing would make this much safer, but the current configuration makes this impossible. There is a way to make this good, but it would mean installing two fire doors at the beginning of each of the corridors on the top floor.

"An excellent and most comfortable stop."

9.0

The hotel was clean and bright with cheery staff while the room was an excellent size and comfortably fitted out. The curtains were good and heavy and kept the light out, while the windows function perfectly, not locked down like in many establishments. The room was plenty warm enough with the heating turned off and the view outside good.

The parking was a little worrying, it being street parking with a single yellow line, but apparently this was for when nearby facilities were being used.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, lovely leafy view. The perfect spot to have a rest after a wedding night out.

The only issue was the kettle's cord was too short to reach the plug above the tea table. Not a huge problem and easily solved.

"Good location clean and tidy,"

8.0

Wet close to where we needed to be

Communication with the mix up of the booking even though I tried to explain this was very much misunderstood, the front desk got this sorted in the end was a unnecessary situation to find my self in, breakfast was limited, not value for money asked for boiled eggs got hard boiled eggs would go else where for breakfast.
