Centro Motel

I stayed at Metro for my grandson's hockey tournament at the Olympic Arena. I chose Centro because it's a 5 min drive to the arena. This Motel is a GEM!!! the pictures don't do it justice. It's roomy and very clean. I absolutely LOVED the fluffy robes, that's something even pricey hotels don't offer! Even though the Motel is on a busy road, it wasn't noisy at night - I slept very well! AND there's a Keurig in the room! That was super nice to have coffee without having to go out and get it. Super thoughtful idea! There are lots of restaurants nearby, within walking distance. The parking is super convenient, I was able to park right in front of my motel door. The motel staff are very friendly, this is just a super little hidden gem in Calgary! I'll definitely stay here again! AND you absolutely cannot beat the price! Fantastic value!

This place really raises the bar for what motels can be! Excellent customer service, first of all -- every staff member I interacted with was so warm and welcoming. The room was very clean and I enjoyed that there was a tea option for the keurig machine, you don't see that often. The extra touches like a bathrobe for me and a blanket for my dog were appreciated as well, as were the ecofriendly considerations (repurposing torn and stained washcloths as rags is a fantastic idea that more places should adopt). Heater worked well, bed was comfortable. Convenient location and I felt safe taking my dog out at night. Competitive price. I was very satisfied with my stay!

For a longer stay, adding a microwave would be a big help, but I knew from the listing that this wasn't an included amenity and the fridge + keurig machine were perfectly adequate for my overnight stay.
