Hotel rural El Jardin del Conde

Very lush setting a little rustic. Full of art, much done by the marvelous host Rosa who was very welcoming and prepared nice meals for us. For those walking the Camino, she hand paints a stamp to your credentials.

Close to the motorway, yet secluded and quiet. On the Ruta via de la Plata. A host, Rosa, that goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Including her homemade food. Rooms are simple, yet fresh and clean and with everything you need. Dog friendly too 😁. And motorbike.

That I didn't know about this place before...

The area didn’t have any open restaurants but we made it work.

Rosa was a lovely attentive host. She greeted us with a nice glass of wine. Cookies in room. Quiet.

The room was very cramped and initially cold. Rosa turned the heat up upon request. Shower did not work. Dining room cold. Had to have breakfast with coat on. Very limited breakfast. Bottled water in room would have been nice. The finca has a nice living room for guests to use but again no heat. No tv in room. Only in livingroom that shows no channels.

Very convenient position just off the main road. Very quite and secluded. Very interesting building. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

Garden view from bedroom, relaxing bath, great location for the Via de la Plata. Host cooked us dinner and gave us an early breakfast. Hand painted individual 'stamps' for our Pilgrim Credencials.
