AWOL Kennebunkport

The property was unique being a historical site but clean and up to date. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to and the staff was friendly and willing to help if ever needed.

Enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and well done. Breakfast each day was wonderful as well. You can walk into town - the hotel is in a very convenient location.

Our cabin was nice and clean. I would recommend that they add a shelf (3”x18”) in the bathroom. With a pedestal sink there is no flat surface for toothpaste, brush…

There are pros and cons to AWOL. Pros… location is perfect, room was very clean, service was great, nice bedding and towels, and the breakfast spread was very nice (but only went on Saturday, one day of our stay). Cons…. Mattress was awful, we both felt like we were going to roll out, bathroom was ridiculously small, furniture was not comfy, window looked right into the next unit (directly across from bathroom), the paths to the cabin units are sand which gets everywhere and has ruts with the rain, and the parking flooded leaving the one attendant to try to get the mud out… she tried, but the property needed to have a power washer to clean the mud. I would not stay here again, as the cons outweighed the location. Given the cabins are very new, the layouts are just not great. I was looking at AWOL in VT, but will not be staying there given this experience.

Historic home. Two room second floor modem updated room. Great location, walkable to town. Very nice continental breakfast. Bikes, beach chair free to use. Highly recommended.

Great location! Walking distance to most everything. Beautiful property in a beautiful neighborhood. We stayed in the cabin suites which are amazing, outside seating with personal fire pit. The breakfast was unbelievable, Farm to table healthy spread! We definitely would stay here on repeat visits!
