Please note that the Cambridge Hotel Bar and Cambridge Terrace are very busy and noisy from 21:00 until 03:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. You may experience noise disturbances from the bar and from the street during this time. Please note that there is a 1.8% charge when you pay with a credit card. Please note this property can only accommodate guests over 18 years of age due to the onsite bar. Please note if you require a different bedding configuration, this request must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance using the Special Request box or property contact details found on the booking confirmation. Please note that the actual layout, furnishings and condition of your room may differ from the photos. All other amenities listed will be available. Also, a $500 refundable bond must be paid for stag groups, hens parties, or sports teams. Best location. Great staff super helpful. Stayed in a double one night then 4 bed “pod” dorm for 2 nights. Big showers, clean unisex bathrooms with lots of mirrors (important :)) The pods mean you have privacy which is great. Lights and charging ports, plus fan to circulate air. As always the Cambridge is excellent value for money

The pod bed was creaky and unstable but ok. The room definitely needed a window open to circulate air it was incredibly stuffy with 4 people in there

Central. Clean. Good price.

Noisy street, but that is to be expected with a central city location. Hallway doors bang loudly all night. Surely this could be an easy fix to improve guests’ sleep!

"Intoxicated men in the kitchen and dining room late at night. I avoided going to the washroom because of loud, rowdy guy"

The one single shared bathroom/showers for everyone isn’t the most comfortable or convenient. There were intoxicated people yelling in the hallway from 3:30-6 am. A rugby group (not housed at the hostel to my knowledge) was partying in the kitchen. I checked out early after one bad night, and when I inquired about getting my money back for the two lost nights of my booking, I got no answer. Best to spend the extra $ and go elsewhere, unless you’re really okay with something like this happening.
