"For Us: Nice..."

8.0

Not wanting to spend lots of money on a room for the Clemson football game we chose to stay here back in September and once again in November. This is not the Ramada Inn or the Hilton but is a small, family run motel in the small town of Westminister about 35 minutes from Clemson. They honored our non-smoking request and the room was as clean as an older building can be. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay at a good price without all the frills this is a great place to stay. Additionally, The Chatooga River is about 20 minutes away from motel.

"Only game in town."

6.0

Being a native of the area, this hotel has been in existence for over 50 years. (I spoke at a Kiwanis Club meeting in the Banquet room here in 1973.) Therefore the structure is old. It was remodeled last in the 80's probably. The furnishings and décor are dated. But the room was very clean- no bugs, and the bed and linens were comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water, a flat screen TV and there was a mini fridge and microwave. We stayed as the Apple Festival was going on there and we were attending a reunion at the same time. It was very convenient and we could walk to everything. The Police station is right across the street and it was quiet. The price was right. There was also a home Clemson game 15 miles away and all the other hotels jack their rates up on those weekends. The Holiday Inn isn't worth $200 a night in Seneca. I would love to see it remodeled!! But I am a nostalgic at heart. For the money, it is not bad if you are only staying a night or two.

"Excellent"

8.0

I enjoyed my stay at The Relax Inn in Westminster. I was only in the room at night due to my hiking schedule. Cost was excellent and the basis of my picking the hotel. The only two issues I had were with the TV. The TV cable service was blurry on all stations, and there was a pornography station that was not blocked. If I had children, I would have left immediately and chosen another hotel. I just turned off the TV and read a book.

"Only Hotel Here"

6.0

There isn't any other hotels in town only a B & B. The nearest larger town is Bainbridge about 20 miles away. Hotel needs updating, but they probably don't do enough business to warrant such an expense.

"Very Dated"

2.0

The hotel appeared to be very dirty. The rug was unwashed and most every thing in the room was in need of repair. The curtains on the front windows had to be shut with the use of paper clips. The room had a very strong smell from some kind of of cleaning chemical but still needed to have the door and walls washed. It really needed to be repainted. The bed did appear to be clean but all of the furniture in the room was very old and needs to be replaced. The hotel is old and dated but a little paint, cleaning and replacement of a few things would go a long way in making it a more pleasant place to stay.

"You might hear banjos"

4.0

Thought this would be a great cheap option for the Clemson-Carolina weekend, after spending boucoups of money on tickets. Old cinderblock hotel with modest upkeep. Very clean, but no one around ever. It's the only hotel in town, and about a 20 minute drive from Clemson (on the other side of Seneca). (PS, I'm no longer in charge of finding our hotel for the Rivalry weekend.)

"Stay Away !"

2.0

This hotel shouldnt even be on hotels.com. I went there and the office person barely spoke eglish. She made me find my reservation on a stack of papers cause she said she couldnt read english. Then she gave me the wrong key to the room. When I got to the room it smelled real bad with mildew odor. I just left. I stayed all of 5 minutes. I had to eat the 65 I spent but there was no way I was staying there !
