Lovely stop over

Bathroom was dated- had rust around the plug and bottom of the bath but was clean. Shower was awful in that there was no pressure. Everything else was brilliant, considering the cost. Comfy beds, clean, pub was lovely. Quiet considering above a pub. Good parking- good is Greene king so cheap and cheerful. Checking was quick- guy was helpful and lovely. Wi-fi didn’t stretch to the family room in second floor furthest from pub which disappointed the kids.

Stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4. The room was very spacious with 2 full sized extra beds. The carpets, towels and bedding are all clean and fresh but the bathroom was very tired with a lot of mould. Could definitely do with a complete new bathroom. The hotel was very quiet at night so that was great

Good value stay. Good value food and a lively bar which showed the Champions League match. Room condition ok, but a bit tired in places.

To be clear, I would and probably will stay again... its a few hundred yards from where my family live. The staff were friendly and very helpful apart from the Sunday evening when we went to get a drink and something to eat. At 8pm we walked into staff training and was told to leave as they were shut. There was no notice that we saw telling us this and no staff member let us know when we checked in. Luckly i am fit and able enough that I could walk 0.7 miles to a take away and shop while my not so fit and able wife waited in the room. The hotel side of things to be fair is tired and in need of updating. In the corridors, wall paper is liftin up and the carpets smell musty. The bedroom was pretty standard for a hotel room, plenty of plug sockets and furniture but the double bed was rock hard, one of the twin beds was also rock hard and the other was super soft. The bath/shower room is definitely in need of updating. At the end of the day, the price is low and you get what you pay for

Only stayed overnight while in the area for a party. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. The whole hotel needs updating, it’s very tired and dated. Only £63 per night per room. So cheap and cheerful! Included breakfast which was a bonus.

It was a great location room was clean and comfortable with everything you need. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the waiter was lovely. The only thing I will say is there was knowone on reception on arrival and had to wait quite a while in fact when I was coming and going there was never anyone on reception and I didn’t really want to go on the hunt for people if needed. But all in all a good stay and I would definitely go again. Good value for money
