Mapleton is lovely

Small,, no storage, extremely basic, bathroom needs refurbing-nearly too small for a normal sized Human to shower in-wash basin so small it was impractical. Bed uncomfortable & no top sheet provided, only doonah - in QLD heat! The wall at the back of the bed had stains running all down it- disgusting . Kitchen only the very, very basics provided. No aircon, no airflow, was like an oven and actually made me feel physically unwell because of the heat. There was a fan which just blew the hot air around &, bizarrely, an oil heater! TV needs upgrading to a smart TV & one big enough to actually see - for those rainy days. They've obviously tried to modernise the place by giving it a lick of paint & putting wooden effect flooring in, but mutton dressed as lamb is still mutton! Grim! This is by far the worst accommodation we have ever, ever stayed in & we travel a lot. This place is trying to be a holiday park but seems to have mainly permanent sites. It needs to be one or the other.

Ceiling fan should be a basic requirement. The box fan made no difference in the extreme heat.

Was usually nice and quiet, if you like the sound of a lawnmower humming in the morning

Bathroom floor felt like it would cave in near the drain hole

Convenience of where the park was situated.

Just a couple of niggly things. Fridge not getting very cold even when on maximum. Walls and floors transmit sound and vibration extremely well.
