MALFROY Motor Lodge Rotorua

I did not like anything about it, except, maybe, for the location.

It is a rundown motel and should not be promoted on Booking.com because it is false advertising. I've always trusted Booking.com to promote places that are acceptable in standard, comfortable and clean and these should not be compromised for price. The pictures do not represent the true condition of the place and I will be lodging a complaint with the Commerce Commission.

Phone contact from the proprietor as we were still in transit to Rotorua and arriving late

There was little to no cutlery, plates, and basic necessities we had to use our bamboo cutlery from our chilly bin. Heating was tragic and the room was very cold, single beds were on wooden blocks and very uncomfortable. Lounge Carpet was filthy, No spare blankets for the colder weather, the steps into the unit were very slippery with no slip mats.

Brother inlaw had bites all over him. Wasnt very clean. Steps were so slippery and dangerous. Fridge wasnt turned on Carpet was dirty

I didn't like anything

It was unclean, nothing like the photos that was online, freezing cold and only had two small electric heaters, glass wasn't sound proof like it said, two spiders was crawling across the floor. Felt unsafe just being there. Wouldn't give a refund either
