O Hotel Goa, Candolim Beach

Location but horribly manages beachfront of the hotel.

Terrible staff - we had major issues while changing dates of our stay. Our original booking was for 42k and we could see an option to reschedule with a 4/6k hike in price. But when we tried that with the hotel, the lady Sarita from reservations of O hotel sent us a new booking worth 2 lakhs. We had multiple iterations and had to involve bookings.com to get the right rate. The reception staff is not welcoming or helpful. The staff at the restaurant is very inefficient. At breakfast, when we needed salt, the waiter actually asked my husband to go himself and pick it from another table. The breakfast menu was exactly the same for all 4 days that we stayed there. The quality of food was very very poor. The service was extremely poor. Overall, it’s not at all value for money.

The room was beautiful, tidy and big. The hotel has nice aesthetics, a small, yet comfortable swimming pool and an easy access to the beach.

The staff was very incompetent and rude. At the beginning they were quite friendly and relatively nice, but after a while we realized how bad the service was. We had difficulties communicating with them, because no one wanted to take responsibility and deal with our requests or questions. We did not ask anything too complicated though: we wanted to confirm our room service order (because their food app was apparently broken) and we also wanted to ask for shampoo and shower gel (because what we found in the room was 3 conditioners and nothing else). Highly disappointed.

The hotel has the best location in Candolim and just a few steps from the beach. The hotel area is very spacious, clean, with lots of greenery. The room was also good and big with both bath and shower. The breakfast was good with a good assortment of different foods. You can also freely take beach towels. The staff is very friendly and ready to help.

The room walls are very thin and you can hear the noise from your neighbours.
