The only good thing was at least the sheets were clean

The door to get into the unit was broken and very hard to open We were initially only given two bath towels in a family suite. Only given 1 regular coffee and two decaf coffee pods so I went and bought my own. The floors were dirty, coffee maker dirty, there’s a broken seal around the base of the toilet bowl that oozes brown sludge - gross. Lighting terrible - fan was loud and rattled and had to have the fan on when the bathroom light turned on so woke everyone up. Reported all to front desk, who are also the owners, who also live there, and was brushed off. Asked for extra towels and was accused of having a pet. Went to the gym downtown in the morning the next day and when I came back I asked for more toilet paper because we were only given 1 roll - again - in a family suite and the ow er questioned whether I actually Needed two rolls. How embarrassing. Not for me - for them. She actually went to her computer - checked my Checkout date - asked me “when are you checking out?” I said tomorrow - and she proceeded to ask “and you need two rolls?”. Don’t worry - I left the extra roll for you.

It is good for one night stay over.

The room looked like someone had just Moved out after a year. There was blood on the fridge door very dirty stove and down the sides. No cooking utensils We didn’t stay. It was too dirty

It was hard to sleep as there was a window that didn't have a curtain and the lights in the parking lot were on all night and very bright.

Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Kamloops BC STAY AWAY! The name does not remotely represent what you will receive! Unfortunately, everywhere else was booked so I booked via my cell phone with the reservations employee who spoke limited English, very difficult to understand. Number one turn-off! To the owners of this establishment, you should not be permitted to use Canada or Best Value as part of your name! What a disgrace! The hotel was located in a questionable neighbourhood, the parking lot was not cared for nor was the upper level walkway. Filthy and unkept. Loose garbage left on the steps that led to the upper level! Upon arrival we didnt need a card to enter our room; the door was already unlocked and open! Great security! Door jam seems to have been damaged for some time! The door wouldn’t lock when we exited the room until the third try! Inside, unbelievable! Greeted by an old smell due to improper cleaning,old age and a desperate call for complete redecorating. The bedroom area floor was newer laminate flooring but they forgot to do the bathroom. The furniture was ancient, chipped and outdated! The window couldnt be opened for fresh air and the tired, black, un-pressed cotton drapes were older than the building. The phone wouldn’t connect to the front desk but lo and behold the Wifi actually worked in our room! The beds were hard , no waste basket, no facecloths. We didn’t even try the coffee maker, made me shudder. The air conditioner did provide cool air but one never knew if it was going to fly off the wall! The bathroom was revolting! Vanity held up by 2x4’s, floor filthy , hair on the walls of the shower, my hair is short and silver , my husband is bald so….! We shared the bathroom with a wriggling black creature! Sorry no photo, I stomped on it. Sink took forever to drain! Another shuddering moment! These are just a few details of this horrid room Check out the photos . How this place received any rating at all is beyond me! Obviously, they did not stay in room 219. And for this we paid an unrefundable $173.11, otherwise I would have demanded a full refund and ran not walked to the nearest exit! NEVER EVER AGAIN! 🤑 Is there not any supervising body across Canada that demands compliance and inspections regarding hotel cleanliness, prices charged and aged and damaged decor If it is possible I would rate this hotel 0/10. As I stated previously STAY AWAY!
