They upgraded their family room; it looks spacious and clean, and they installed two new air conditioners, which is great, and the window view is of Samal Island. The location is great; it's accessible to everything - park, mall, bars, like everything. The room price is great value.

The breakfast buffet doesn’t have a lot of options like it used to, and you get tired of it if you're staying there for several days because the food is always the same and the main dish has only 3-4 options. They only have pineapple and watermelon for fruits. The staff is not as friendly; when you ask for coffee, they never come back, or you have to ask them again, and they even ignore you when you're trying to ask. So, you'd rather do it yourself.

A nice stay. Originally we were moved from our booked family room to two adjoining rooms. These rooms were of a poor standard. The staff helpfully moved us into a family room. As the oldest hotel in Davao, I think being old is not an excuse for being poorly maintained. The price tag exudes luxury, but it is not luxurious. Bathrooms come with prices if you want towels. This is because many are stolrn and I sympathise but I think penalising guests who are respectful gives a bad vibe. Similarly, threatening to charge for leftover breakfasts is not a hospitable thing to read at the breakfast table. However, the rooms are clean and staff are helpful. I would still recommend it, if the location is good for you.

My husband and myself didn't like the breakfast. As most guests are balikbayans i supposed , we were expecting a nice typical pinoy breakfast. With longganisa or pinas made hotdogs, tocino,or daing,or tuyo or dilis. There's smoked bangus but not all like smoked style and having meatballs with sauce or pancit is a breakfast thing Just a suggestion po. Could have been better po Otherwise dining set up is beautiful and our overall overnight is very comfy after a long flights. Apo view well maintained the beauty of the hotel over this years.
