"Not the Best"

4.0

Location, beach frontage and friendliness of staff as excellent. However, layout of resort, menu and decor were left wanting. Would only stay there again if 7 or 8 other resorts that are in a similar location were fully occupied.

"Vinh Suong Resort, a hidden oasis gem"

10.0

3rd time to Mui Ne, and we could not resist booking Vinh Suong again. VS remains such an amazing oasis; relaxing, beautiful, welcoming, and so comfortable. The weather was always sunny and enough wind for kite surfing. Usually, around 5am you can catch the sun rise. The waves are so calm in the morning, it makes a wonderful time to swim and enjoy mother earth. Breakfast remains as delicious as before, I really enjoyed the various Vietnamese noodle soups. The Chinese shrimp dumplings, fresh omelettes and fruits were so tasty. Also many European options at the breakfast buffet (around $10). Staff was on top of their game and constantly on their feet to take care of our various needs. Always a smile, a polite nod... going above and beyond to provide good customer service. From the caring touches of the maids, the promptness of the bellboys, the enthusiastic landscaping men, the cheerful sales team and receptionists, and the helpful restaurant staff. Such an amazing group of people, who didn't let their lack of foreign language affect their will to do their best job. Our group was quite impressed! We recently learned that Vinh Suong Resort tropical plants were planted by the owners themselves. From the 300+ coconut trees, to the plumerias, the orchid garden, to the exotic fruit trees and flowers. We were beyond impressed with these personal touches all over the resort. VS resort definitely lives up to our expectations. We highly recommend VS resort to anyone looking to get away, relax, and enjoy, you will be in good company. VS Resort truly give their best effort to take care of their guests. One thing to remember is that you are traveling to a third world country, most workers will speak their native language. Download a google translation app, that will assist your communication and your needs will be met promptly.

"Never go to this hotel!"

2.0

We booked an oceanview-room with one double-bed for 140 US$ per night with an early check in. That's very expensive... We got a room at the ground floor with view into the garden with a lot of sunbeds and trees... ocean was behind that but it was not really an oceanview-room. No double-bed. No early-check in. Wifi didn't work at the room, refrigerator (mini-bar) didn't work and contained only two bootles of water. No softdrinks. The room smelt terrible after mold an chlorine. Welcome-drink was not good. For these reasons I asked for a new room. Now I got a new room. It smelt terrible after mold and chlorine too. Wifi also didn't work. Safety-box didn't work. Minibar only with 2 bootles of water, no softdrinks. The room door was not open due to a broken lock and had to be reparier. After this night our clothes smelt after mold and chlorine too. It was the worst hotel we have ever stay at for this price. But we had no chance to change the hotel because my friend was sick and it was New Years Eve and the most hotels were full... This hotel is not recommended! It's a shame!

"Overpriced but still recommend "

8.0

I spent 1 night at this resort with my family( there were 7 people). The location is good, easy to get to nearby tourism destinations. We stayed in 2 ocean view villas but also near the pool. Staffs were very hospitable, you will receive bunch of flowers when you return the room. The room service was good but it was more expensive than the other resorts with same rooms. The pool had way too much chlorine so we didnt swim long there. We also had dinner in its restaurant. The price was acceptable but it didn't taste so good. But I still recommend this resort because of the location and clean beach also the view for families with children.

"Just ok"

6.0

We stayed here because our original guesthouse gave our room away and this is the first place we found with available rooms. In general this place seems a bit run down. Seems no changes have been made since it opened in the early 2000s. We stayed in a bungalow. The room was ok. Though there was no hot water in the shower and for some reason there were small dead bugs all over the floor? But the bedding was clean. We didn't use the pool or jet tub. They looked clean enough. The private beach is pretty nice, however they don't have beach chairs set out on the beach like every other resort in town. There's lots of food to choose from at the breakfast buffet and they switch up the dishes they put out each day. Be warned that it mainly caters to Asian tastes, but there is an omelette station. Overall there are better resorts out there for the same price.

"Good locaion - bad emplimentation"

6.0

The location is great, and the hotel has all the necessary facilities: A nice provate beach, a veraiety of type of rooms, ours was a bungalow facing the garden and swiming pool A good breakfast with a rich buffet. The problem is lack of good service, no knowledge at all of English from the staff and a luck of abbility to solve somple simple technical proplems.

"Don't go. Overpriced. No service."

2.0

Overpriced. Unfortunately all other resorts when we were in Pham Thiet where fully booked. This was the worst and most expensive accomodation of our whole stay in Vietnam. We paid 90 USD for a room that has nothing more than a room provided in a cheap guest house. The room was located at the basememt of the main building, the window facing a wall and near the main road. Looked like a jail. No light in the corridor leading to the room. The bed was terrible. The window was broken. As the room is near the main street, cars and motorbikes horning quickly became a nightnare. Nothing in the room such as tea or coffee as we could expect in a resort. There are definitely cheaper and better options nearby.

"Decent rooms in a very nice garden, overall okay"

6.0

The good first: The garden was really nice to walk through and the pool was good. Beach was also very clean from the hotel and the location within the town was good. Close to lots of restaurants and this lady that sold me the best mango I had in my life... However everything else was a little subpar to me. I went with my parents and we had an extra twin bed placed in the room and the bed frame was literally rusting in some parts and it was missing a headboard so I couldn't really lean against anything other than lay flat which I guess is what you mostly would do on a bed anyways. But they did not give me a comforter and I used a thin blanket that left me shivering at night. Internet was okay in some parts but connection was overall spotty and poor. The free breakfast buffet was okay. It's free. But we ordered dinner at the restaurant once and the Vietnamese food was just bad. However I had ginger tea and coffee from them which was good. The hotel lobby was also extremely dark most of the time. I'm not sure if they're trying to save money on electricity? Anyways this place isn't terrible but it's also not the best. I would come back to find mango lady though.

"Lost in the Crowds"

6.0

This hotel is huge, consequently we were four people lost in the Crowds staying there. The first night we had to wait 2 hours for our food order, after much complaining and some people leaving in disgust we got ours, they delivered the wrong food and although edible was not good. We refused to pay for two of the meals which they accepted. Only one lady spoke english and throughout our 4 day stay tried her hardest to help us but sadly she was fighting an uphill battle . Fortunately, we had a sea view bungalow which by the way is to small and not suitable for 4 adults, these are on the edge of the complex and face away from the chaotic crowds which helped a little. The breakfast was served at a large outdoor restaurant and although it was a good range of choice it is not catererd to westerners at all, and the loud music of Kylie Minogue started up around 7am. Now I don't dislike Kylie and the rest of the choices but not when it makes you jump out of bed at 7 on holiday, it was reminiscent of Butlins. After saying all of that the room was cleaned every day although they wanted to get in from around 8 am. The beach is lovely and we enjoyed Mui Ne, but, if it hadn't been for the english speaking lady in the restaurant we would have been lost. It's also fair to say that unbeknown to us were there on a bank holiday, so check this is not the case if you go. It's no suprise I'm sure to hear we will not be returning or recommending it to anyone

"Our second stay with Vinh Suong Resort!!"

10.0

We came back to Vinh Suong resort because it proved to be the best value on our last years stay. The location is still amazing as always, steps from the peaceful beach and walks from shops and bars. We really appreciate the staff's effort into making our week long stay a pleasant one. Thank you Vinh Suong for the warm and courteous hospitality! We are going to include a couple videos of our stay:)
