Close to food places, easy check in and check out. Staff was very nice

The room was not cleaned properly. Very dusty, toenail clippings and sharp metal on the floor from previous guests, as well as bugs inside of the air conditioning. The air made the room feel damp and the heater had a very bad smell. Some of the towels seemed to have stains on them as well as small stains on the bed sheets.

I was told on the phone that the hot tub was working. That is the reason I was willing to pay the rate, which is higher than other hotels in Carthage. Once checked in, I learned the hot tub is "closed for the season". I was lied to!

My stay was ok. The room looked nice, there weren’t any odors and the room wasn’t stale... The refrigerator had water leaking from the freezer that needed defrosting, so we had to get towels and clean that up… When my son got in the shower we realized the shower gel holder was totally out of gel... I slept ok but my husband didn’t. He thought the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable... Breakfast was good and the front staff were friendly.
