Hampton Inn Sweetwater

The infrastructure, appliances, A/C, room bathrooms, pillows, etc. all need serious maintenance, intense cleaning and repairs, and well - a serious redo with this building. We changed rooms because the A/C sounded like a semi-truck. Phone to front desk was broken. A/C controls are outdated. Freezer in fridge was broken. I’ve machine didn’t work. Staff was semi-helpful and friendly, but admitted their hands felt tied from truly fixing anything!

This hotel is very dated! The bathroom wallpaper looking like something had dripped all over and never cleaned up. The shower was old and grout looked like it was haphazardly done. I was disappointed with Hampton, but the staff was kind.

I arrived tried to check in. No one was there or at least not at desk. Waited 30 plus minutes plus 15 in my truck. Left because I was tired from drive. Had to get hotel at Laquinta up the street. I called from 9 pm to 12am trying to cancel but did not get anyone till morning. Had the gall to charge me anyway 140.00 . In process of trying to to get that off my card now

No service and still being charged

Great service and friendly staff! Everything was nice and cleaned. I especially enjoyed the zero % shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Enjoyed my stay there! Thank you!

We often stay in Hampton Inns. This was the worst. Room 220, a handicapped room: * The toilet handle was coming off, and you had to hold it down to make it flush. * The toilet seat was so loose it barely stayed on. * We were very happy to see that the shower was roll-in. But the shower curtain was too short, too narrow, and water went all over the bathroom floor. My wife almost slipped on it. We put all the bath towels on the floor to soak it up. I chose to go without a shower instead of having to deal with that again. * There were no washcloths in the bathroom. I had to get some from a maid. * The ice machine on our floor was broken. * Tile was falling off in the bathroom in several places. * No wastebasket in the room, just one in the bathroom. * This was supposedly a wheelchair accessible room, but a wheelchair or larger walker does not fit between the bed and the furniture holding the refrigerator and microwave. * No one in a wheelchair could access the closet without difficulty because the closet door is so large. Most hotels either have no door or a bifold. * The accessible room is as far away from the elevator as possible. Really? * Orange juice was not an option at breakfast. There are several nice mid-range hotels in Sweetwater. This isn't one of them.

There had been a mix-up between Expedia and the hotel computer systems. Expedia had me checking in on Wednesday night, the hotel had me checking in on Thursday night. The manager of the hotel could not care less that this was a problem for me. Didn't apologize, didn't even try to fix a situation, just told me that I had to call Expedia. And when Expedia called them back, just basically told them to pound sand. I have never seen a service provider with so little concern over a customer and their predicament. I did not even get a, "I'm so sorry sir, there's just nothing I can do." It was just, "that's expedia's problem."

Everything except for the ac unit

The only thing was the ac unit in the room was not working properly.

Front desk was not staffed when I arrived. Had to wait 8-10 minutes to check in

This was a good location for us but the rooms stink (we had a total of 4 rooms). In our own room there was beatd hair in the sink, and on one hand towel, the toilet was unwashed with the lid and seat up, the toilet paper wasn't lined up and one was hanging down. It was like someone had already used the bathroom. The actual pillow to sleep on had blood on the pillow

It was all good. Enjoyed very much.
