Best spot in the lakes. Like stepping back in time.

Superb location. Great breakfast. Great atmosphere in climbers bar.

Rude staff. Couldn't care less attitude.

Breakfast was great - the other food was very good and tasty. The only negative for us was that the couple in the next door room has two dogs with them and they were quite noisy at times. However, being a trekking hotel one has to expect certain of the guests will bring their dogs with them.

Few cobwebs in bedroom. Bathroom mirror light didnt work. Loo roll holder coming off wall.

ive stayed at the old dungeon twice now value for money when you consider its location it has that presence about it like it is steeped in history the log fire and christmas tree in the guest lounge so cozy i will be back again very soon and would recomend
