The room was great. It was spaciuos compared to the average room in Greece. Bathroom was a bit tight, but still manageable! I thought the front desk person was extremely helpful and kind.The location in Fira was great!

Great value for Santorini, neighbourhood is a bit spotty and shower is not great. But otherwise very nice for the price you pay.

If you are looking for a place on a budget, but that is clean, then book at Markakis. We couldn't afford to spend a lot of money on accommodation so this was a good comprimise. They are very basic rooms - unfortunately no double beds, only twin singles, which was the only negative I could say if coming as a couple. The staff running the place was very nice! The location was good. Expect to walk up hills - but u can't avoid that anywhere in Fira. The key for us was to explore Santorini and not spend our days in the hotel. For this reason, Markakis was a good choice :)

This hotel is beautiful...The rooms were spacious and having a basic kitchenette was a definite plus! There were beautiful flowers everywhere and we had an amazing view of the sunrise from our balcony. The famous Santorini sunsets and the shopping along the caldera are a quick 5 minute walk away. The owner was eager to please and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. He gave us tips on the best wineries on the island as well as directions and recommendations on what to do and where to go. All this for some of the lowest prices in Fira...you can't beat the value!
