Summerhill House Hotel

This is a beautifully-restored old house, full of old world elegance and contemporary luxury. The staff are exemplary; friendly, efficient, and kind. We had a beautiful stay in Enniskerry, and loved visiting nearby sites like Powerscourt Estate and Gardens (the hidden Japanese garden was breathtaking!) A real highlight of our stay was the exceptional breakfast each morning. There was a decadent buffet, full of fresh fruits; cereals; freshly-baked pastries, breads and sweet treats,;charcuterie, excellent cheese (try the smoked Gubbeen!); and even a freshly-baked glazed ham. There's also a breakfast menu, with a great full Irish fry and good pancakes as some of the options. The bartender was just the nicest man, and there's an excellent selection of Irish spirits and whiskies behind the bar.

The single-ply toilet paper was cheap and not good quality. And (this is a very, very first-world problem!), the breakfast changed from day-to-day; the weekend menu is more extensive on the weekend (including with french toast and eggs benedict) but is slightly reduced on weekdays (fry, pancakes, porridge mostly). And the buffet also changed; on the last day, there were shop-bought donuts and muffins instead of fresh-baked cookies, and no glazed ham. However, it was still a most excellent breakfast! We had just been spoiled over the weekend with the luxuries on offer! ;D

We had a wonderful stay at this charming country house hotel. The grounds are absolutely lovely, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit special, even helping us organise a surprise for our son’s birthday, which meant a great deal to us. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would happily return in the future

Stayed in Summerhill House Hotel for 1 night B&B , This is the perfect stay if you are visiting Powerscourt Gardens as it is literally across the road . The staff were lovely & very friendly. The hotel is an old stately house which has charm & character, also has quite bar area which is ideal after a day walking just to chill out. The breakfast was unbelievable , and everything you would want for breakfast and more . Huge selection on display & to order. Definitely be back for another visit here.
