Breakfast was disappointing, nothing hot

The bed was very uncomfortable and I didn't sleep a minute

Outdated facilities in washroom and shower.

The staff were friendly and it’s close to Gatwick airport. The bed was comfortable and bedroom a good size.

Firstly having to pay for shuttle - £20 each way (for 5 of us) - the driver seemed lovely tho! The property itself is really dated and although they’ve done a decent job improving some of it aesthetically, there’s a LOT to be improved on: externally, terribly overgrown & untidy grassed area, broken up pathways, chunks of paint missing from window sills, dirty water around the quirky (& sadly unloved) fountain. Inside - old strips of fraying emergency tape on stairs, no net curtains or privacy glass on bedroom window (mine had pedestrians walking past very close by, 24/7 so had to shut curtains even in daylight); bathroom very dated & shower cubicle TINY, shower also uncontrollable & spraying into the room (all over toilet paper & towels), also parts of bathroom not very clean; also, the noise of the traffic from the busy road all night long was really difficult. A lot of these things could be easily fixed to make this place lovely.
