The Residence

Service was fantastic, don't know about the personal plunge pool, couldn't find it.

The one bedroom apartment is very spacious and had a great view of the water, especially from the balcony. Was allowed to check-in early as the room was ready. The full kitchen is great if you want to cook a meal.

This hotel seems to have very good facilities, although they were not particularly user friendly. Once we figured the room's facilities out, we found them to be excellent, but that took a little while. The staff was helpful. Although the old town of Split may be reached by bus from near the hotel, it is a somewhat long bus ride. The beach by the hotel is OK, although I would not say it was outstanding. (It is rocky.) The immediate area of the hotel was quite pretty, although I wouldn't say Podstrana is anything much to brag about. Although the hotel next to this one had fine restaurants, they were also rather expensive. We didn't find good medium-priced restaurants in the area. While I would not necessarily recommend against this hotel, the facts that its location is so far away from the old town of Split and apparently away from medium-priced restaurants and that it was not particularly inexpensive prevents me from recommending it.

We found the apartments to be extremely luxurious and comfortable. The location was fabulous, close to beach and marina. The staff were welcoming, very helpful and couldn't have done more. Everyone spoke English, which always puts us to shame! We arrived early and they looked after all our belongings while we walked to the marina and had a relaxing drink and they had our suite ready for 11.30 am, luggage in room. The service was just excellent. We would highly recommend The Residence, we stayed for 10 days, totally chilled out and enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the beautiful sunsets, before wandering down to one of the restaurants for a delicious meal - heaven.

We had a great apartment, modern kitchen and large living/eating area with a hallway and a separate bedroom, covered terrace with a sea view. No complaints, everything was really nice. We moved around a lot during the week we stayed, so the covered parking was a plus.

A lovely haven. Top notch,with all the amenities anyone could want. Next stay will be much longer,possibly to be used as a base for several day trips.

We arrived at 1am due to plane problems, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is set below the road and is therefore very quiet and relaxing, and would be ideal for families as well as couples like us. The bus into the centre of Split runs right past on the main coastal road, and the whole feel of the place is relaxed and private.

This apartment style hotel is located about a 10min drive to town center which can be a pain but there are many options to get into the town center. The new water taxi service is only about 4 euro each way and runs up till midnight during the summer. The 5 star Le meridian resort is right next door and I found myself using there facitilies alot. There are a few dining optons around as well as a little shop in reeception to get what you need. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything included to stay at home and cook if that is your thing. Staff are very friendly and I would highly recommend this hotel to get away from the rush and noise of split center and enjoy some time relaxing on the beach which is right at your doorstep.

It was very difficult to find. Look for le mirage as it is on the same property. Service was excellent. The room and view was awesome but the bathroom could have been cleaner. The bathroom floor was covered in hairs. Also the water pressure in the shower could be better. Other than that it was very nice.
