Hickory Grove Motor Inn - Cooperstown

Nice, quiet older motel, very clean, with fridge in the room, close to Glimmerglass. perfect for overnight stay.

The staff members were pleasant and helpful.

it was an ok hotel. We were out everyday. No food options around. microwave and refridg. in the room. smelled like cleaning solution. shower was very small, but towels were soft. No grounds to speak of never saw where the water area was.

3 pillows. Was odd number for two people so one of us got to sleep with two pillows. The remote didn't work making in very hard to use the T.v.

The room had a lovely view of the lake. The beds were comfortable, there was an easy to use coffee machine, and a microwave and refrigerator. Everything was well designed and comfortable and easy to use.

What would have been better is having direct access to the lake. However, there was access to the lake and paddle boats if you walk a short distance up the road. The other issue is that we had some heavy rain and the area around our car was full of water.

The staff, Fran, the lady in the morning and the cleaning woman were very friendly and helpful, both over the phone and in-person. The grounds were neat, the room clean and comfortable. The inn is on Route 80 West so it was a ten-minute ride straight into Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame.

The hotel was quiet. It was super comfortable and the people were friendly.

I was doing the rail explorers ride in cooperstown on memorial day weekend. I was looking for a place to spend the night before the rail ride went on expedia and there weren't many options available at a reasonable price so I chose this. I must say it went well. This place is near the river. My room had the river view. It was very peaceful, clean and they were very friendly. My husband and I took a walk to the river it was great!!! One piece of advice while you're driving there if you find something to eat buy it and take it with you. It was kind of away from everything. I thank God we saw a little Ceasars pizza on our way and bought it.
