nothing special about the hotel !! we stayed one night more than a night , not a suitable one the staff was friendly though tried to be helpful

ASAL Hotel offers excellent value for the price and is a strong option for budget-conscious travelers. The beds are genuinely comfortable, and the towels are soft, which adds a nice level of comfort. While the bed felt slightly itchy at first, it wasn’t a lasting issue. The breakfast is simple but good—nothing fancy, but fresh and enough to start the day. Thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water, a working kettle, a functional television, and especially the hot/cold water dispenser in the dining area make a real difference and help save both time and money. The staff are truly a highlight: consistently helpful, caring, professional, and respectful. They are attentive to guests’ needs and contribute heavily to the overall positive experience. Despite being an older building, the hotel has a welcoming, calm atmosphere and feels like a step above many low-cost accommodations. The rooms are equipped with AC, allowing you to control your own temperature, which is a big plus. Overall, it’s a place where you can actually relax. Compared to my experiences with similarly rated hotels in other countries—especially in parts of the United States—this stay felt significantly more stable and comfortable. In some 3-star environments elsewhere, it’s not unusual to encounter things like disruptive guests, questionable activity, staff behaving inappropriately (including offers of drugs), police knocking on doors, or people lingering around asking for money or services tied to substance use. None of that was present here. No chaos, no safety concerns, no uncomfortable situations—just a peaceful, respectful environment, which is honestly refreshing and not always guaranteed at this price point. Overall... Taking everything into account, ASAL Hotel is a fair and accurate 3.

As the hotel is in an older building, some areas naturally show their age. The bathroom facilities could benefit from a bit more upkeep. The shower drainage is a little slow, the door frame shows signs of deterioration from moisture, and there are minor spots on the walls of the shower—that suggest the shower walls are not scrubbed. Cleanliness overall is decent, but the bathrooms would benefit from a more detailed, consistent cleaning routine. If the cleaning staff focused more on scrubbing shower walls and finer details, it would noticeably improve the experience. This isn’t necessarily a major fault of the hotel itself, but more about execution—adding routine inspections or check-ins on cleaning quality could easily solve it. That said, expectations can vary depending on personal and cultural standards, so not everyone may notice or be bothered by these details. Bringing shower sandals is a practical suggestion for added comfort, and again, still better than what was expected! There are also small maintenance items that could be easily addressed. For example, the deteriorating corner of the bathroom door frame could be fixed with simple putty or minor DIY repair. Some furniture—like the nightstand and desk—shows visible wear and feels dated. The television is relatively small, and areas like the back of the TV appear to have accumulated dust over time, which may stand out to guests sensitive to it and who have allergies. While the rooms themselves have AC and are adjustable, the general hotel environment (hallways and common areas) tends to be on the warmer side, which may be noticeable for guests who prefer cooler surroundings, but again, it varies country to country and culture to culture.

Very good value for the money with good, clean, quiet rooms. Location okay and breakfast could use fresh bread instead of packaged.
