Travel Inn

We had room #7 which is very spacious and has a private, recently updated bathroom.

We had to carry our suitcases up the staircase because the elevator was broken.

This place would hardly get a 5 in terms of price-performance ratio when compared to hotels in continental Europe. Over 700 euros for 5 nights, and no closet in the room, no shampoo, no hairdryer (well, there's only one for shared use) are a few to mention. However, each country has its own facts, and for some reason accommodation in Iceland seems to be extremely expensive. Therefore the 7 rating above should be understood under this consideration. Still, the central location, quiet nights, good wifi were the positives. The cleaning lady Maja was also very helpful and friendly. The manager/owner or any being you might need for any assistance managed to be invisible during our entire stay.

The Travel Inn was a clean, well run facility in a quaint apartment building very close to central Reykjavik. We didn’t meet any staff, but the stay was very nice and the shared bathroom was not a problem.

Room was really quiet and beds were the most comfortable of any on my whole trip. Self check-in was really easy and convenient. Location couldn't be better for a solo traveler who needs access to public transit.

Location was ideal, easy parking, few minutes away from dowtown Reykjavik by foot. Easy instructions for self check-in. The room was warm and quite well equipped.

There wasn't enough space for 3 suitcases to be opened, but we didn't bother. We forgotten some drinks and beverages, later the night after our check-out, we communicated with them to find out if it was possible to take them back the following day. They responded that they had been found but then they were lost, thus we couldn't take them back. It was dissapointing. The bathroom sink was too tiny.
